There is plenty of criticism to be made of Corbyn’s speech; no mention of selling arms to Saudi Arabia, British governments arming, training and funding terrorists, including the creature responsible for the Manchester bomb, but it reduced the Tories to blatant lies.
What Theresa May, current guardian of Brit terror at home and abroad, said: “Jeremy Corbyn has said that terror attacks in Britain are our own fault.”
What Corbyn actually said: “… Those terrorists will forever be reviled and implacably held to account for their actions… The blame is with the terrorists, but if we are to protect our people we must be honest about what threatens our security.”
He then outlined a broad approach to foreign policy and dealing with terrorism.
May, by contrast, pitched up at the G7, launched a personalised attack and then told lies. Lies then repeated by her colleagues; not least Fallon who drove headfirst into a Channel 4 car crash. The strong and stable Thatcher reboot reduced to thrashing around like a lonely sock in a tumble dryer. Only with less credibility and dignity.
To be fair, you can see why. She’s watched a 24-point lead evaporate in two weeks, u-turned on policies before the ink was dry and been hammered because there are no credible costings for manifesto commitments.
She is an incompetent liar; a malignant clot on the national body politic. Sack the Tories on June 8th.
