Apart from anything else, if Jean, the ignorant bigot, actually knew anything at all about Islam then she’d know that Jesus – peace be upon him, as our Muslim brothers and sisters would say – is revered as an important prophet. Given that, it’s hard to see any Muslim mortally offended by a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
But I tell you what; I’ll make it easy for you racist quarter-wits to earn yourselves an easy oner. Just think; a free ton for more Stella or those chunky easy-to-hold crayons. Or, in Jean’s case, the cash would clearly be better spent taking some lessons on how to use the internet, given that a thirty-second search via Google was all it took to completely disprove these lies.
I’ll give a £100.00 to the first person that provides documented, verifiable proof of any bodies or organisations – not just Cadbury’s – banning anything Easter-related because any Muslim, or indeed any human being at all, anywhere in the UK, ever complained.
If anyone actually does chance their arm (and I’m expecting at least 130,000 applicants from the stupid idiots who ‘liked’ and/or ‘shared’ Jean’s gibbering nonsense, with Jean herself leading the pack) and once I’ve debunked your rubbish and left your laughable claim in tatters, then you make just a £25.00 donation on my behalf to theNewcastle Islamic Diversity Centre.
On a final note, Muslims aren’t complaining about anything; they aren’t picketing or rioting. The poor sods are just trying to struggle through lives blighted by hatred, Islamophbia and bigotry. Whipped up by a disgusting racist media and fuelled by idiots and scum gleefully buying into it and giving lies legs and unfounded rumours impetus.
In the same way that Daesh/Isis are trying to turn Europe against Muslims to generate more embittered recruits for their cause, so too are our press and its brain-dead readers and believers like Jean Gardner. They are aiding the very cause they claim to so virulently oppose. In the wake of the Brussels tragedy and the resulting Islamophobic backlash, this sort of cynical and callous stirring is even more disgusting than it usually is.

Some of my Muslim friends BANNED me from sleeping in the bunk house at Easter Camp because they were OFFENDED by my slight snoring problem. They were supported in this extremist discrimination by intolerant Christians, Hindus and an assortment of Atheists, idiots and drunks.

Harry, I have no doubt that both Jean (and Keith) are the sort to mutter about “PC gawn mad”, each and every time the council does something for migrants. Your post, was quite, rightly, locating the attitudes of both Jean and Keith within their cultural context, the sort that complains about lack of housing, education, health services “for their own”, yet are also very quick to scream about ‘mindless militants’ when workers go on strike to preserve those services or demand more and better.
Carol, yes it does take “a special kind of stupid” to be have your ears pricked, for Michael Howard’s dog whistle and then to come running at its sound, again and again. Jean, you, Keith have every right to express your thoughts…what you do not and will never, I hope have, is the right not to be challenged when you come out with stuff that puts a dirty, great, big, grin on UKIP’s face…

With respect I find your self opinionated comments offensive for calling people idiots. While this story may not be true there is a right for concern regarding the ever increasing biased being given to the vast majority of people coming into the country and without trying to cause offence many are Muslim who arrive in the UK with no intention of integrating or paying any interest in British values. Where I live the council provided a building to adapt as a mosque but once complete the Imran got up a petition up complaining about the fact that the mosque was placed on the same street as a Catholic Church and a Catholic school and requested that the children should not be allowed to pass the mosque to/from school. I know this is fact as I was working in the area while the petition was being passed around.
I am not racist in the slightest but the sway of things seem to be in favour of immigrants and being a primarily Christian country seems to have been dismissed.
As for you calling people idiots for having an opinion wether wrong or right is certainly not for you to decide, until the day comes when free speech is illegal then ALL are allowed to say what they think without discrimination!

She’s not a liar, she’s lied to. Saw this post shooting around social media, mostly shared by people who were incredulous that someone actually believed this nonsense in the first place. But, do you honestly think all this shaming of the woman is going to educate her and set her on a more enlightened track? Or, do you think, as is more likely, all this bullying is going to drive her further into the belief systems of the racist right? Far better, one would think, to call out and name (even if their names are a matter of public knowledge) the journalist and editor who invent this bullshit in order to polarise us all. Congratulations on playing into their hands.

I think both the paper and people like her need calling out. A scroll down her Facepage page reveals staggering levels of bigotry and prejudice and it’s clear she *wants* to believe these things and won’t be persuaded otherwise. Frankly, my patience is well past its limit. She can take some responsibility for herself and account for her actions.

It’s a good point and also bought home to me how the nature of bigotry has changed and how it is derived from the politics of our rulers.
In the 1980s, my council was dubbed with ‘Council cancels Christmas’. A council-funded group for kids with disabilities had changed from having an annual Xmas event to start rotating celebrating Diwali, Eid, Xmas, etc. It was this ‘strange’ event of Diwali that was part of the focus of the article; in the way that is no longer the case but such a focus on ‘intolerant’ Hindus and Sikhs would doubtless come again if the UK was in opposition to India, or likewise on Jews if they should cross swords with Israel
